APPOINTMENTS, TRANSFERS AND LEAVE OF OFFICERS MARCH 2023
1. Dr. George Muge, CP/ICT, Prisons Headquarters is appointed Ag. Director, Corporate and Cooperation Affairs. He takes over from Mr. Moses Wagabaza Kakungulu, ACGP, whose Contract appointment has expired.
MR. SAMUEL AKENA APPOINTED DEPUTY CGP AS MR. JAMES MWANJE RETIRES FROM SERVICE.
In accordance with Article 216 of the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda, His Excellency the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces appointed Mr. Samuel Akena as Deputy Commissioner General of Prisons.
THE PRISONS INTERMEDIATE COMMAND AND STAFF COURSE LAUNCHED AT PRISONS ACADEMY AND TRAINING SCHOOL - LUZIRA.
The Prisons Intermediate Command and Staff Course was on Monday 6th March, 2023 launched at the Prisons Academy Training and School (PATS) by the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Brig. Gen.
CGP INSPECTS PROGRESS OF THE GRAIN SILOS CONSTRUCTION IN SUPPORT TO NATIONAL FOOD SECURITY
The Commissioner General of Prisons, Can Dr. Johnson Byabashaija on Friday 3rd March, 2023 travelled on a working tour to ascertain progress of the construction of 4,000 MT Grain Silo capacity with grain drying and processing system at UG. Prisons Farm-Lugore in Gulu District.
