 Comments

Increase in inmate population remains a challenge and this is partly attributed to question of remand detainees contributing 60% of the inmate population.

This challenge requires the joint mitigation efforts of the Criminal Justice System. Parole and Community Service Scheme should be used to reduce the numbers currently incarcerated in prison.
