Welcome to the December Monthly edition of the Uganda Prisons Monthly Newsletter.
Following the Recruitment advertisement which ran in the Press in October 2020 and both Written and Oral Interviews which were conducted in 2021, the following persons have successfully fulfilled the Requirements to be recruited into the Uganda Prisons Service as Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Prisons.
H.E the President of the Republic of Uganda, Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, under Article 172 of the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda and on advice from the Prisons Authority, Sections 10(C) and 20(1) of the Prisons Act, 2006, has re-designated six (6) Director of Prisons to the rank of Assistant Commissioner General of Prisons and promoted 65 (sixty five) Senior Prisons Officers to various ranks.

2. Mr. Raphael Olinga, CP, from leave is appointed CP/Health Services.
