The Permanent Secretary Ministry of Internal Affairs Dr. Ben Mutambi Mugisha this week 12 – 15 March, 2018 commissioned newly built prisons and prison wards in UG Prison Nebbi, UG Prison Farm Ragem and UG Prison Adjumani in west nile region.

The Permanent Secretary commended the efforts of the Prisons service in battling the challenges of congestion in the prisons through provision better accommodation wards for the inmates. He was accompanied by the Directorof Prisons Production and Engineering David Nsalasatta, Commissioner of Prisons Engineering and Estates, Milton Tiyo, Assistant Commissioner of Prisons, Regional Prisons Commander, North western, Lenga George, Head Community Service and officials from the Immigrations.

Also commissioned were lowcost staff quarters that were constructed to improve staff accommodations.
